Universitas Muria Kudus (UMK), Indonesia proudly hosted theBatch 11 SEAMEO SEA-Teacher and Faculty Exchange Programin partnership withIloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U), Philippines. The week-long program held on April 6 -11, 2026, brought together student delegates and faculty members to foster academic collaboration and cultural exchange.


The ISAT U delegation was accompanied by Dr. Renelda P. Nacianceno and Mr. Ryan J. Solido, who enriched the program with special lectures. Dr. Nacianceno focused on collaborative teaching-learning-research approaches, while Mr. Solido delivered insights on Guidance and Counseling, both highlighting innovative strategies for holistic education.


Throughout the exchange, participants engaged in classroom observations and teaching practice sessions, working alongside UMK lecturers and students. These activities provided valuable opportunities to experience diverse pedagogical approaches and strengthen professional competencies.
Beyond academics, the program offered a vibrant immersion into Indonesian culture. Delegates enjoyed local cuisine, traditional music, and dances, gaining a deeper appreciation of the rich heritage of the host community. This cultural dimension underscored the importance of understanding diversity in building meaningful international partnerships.
The program concluded with resounding success, achieving its goals of promoting cross-cultural understanding, academic excellence, and sustainable collaboration. Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing future educators and advancing regional cooperation through the SEAMEO SEA-Teacher initiative.
