Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) was awarded by the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) a Blood Service Platinum Award during its 18th Blood Donors Awarding and Recognition Program held on August 31, 2016 at Hotel del Rio, Iloilo City.
The award was given for the continuing support of promoting voluntary blood donation and in organization of mass blood donations. PNRC cited the 571 units of blood yield in years of continuous mass blood letting activity conducted by the Extension Services Division (ESD) “Dugo Mo, Buhay Ko” project.
“Dugo Mo, Buhay Ko.” is a noble undertaking in partnership with the Integrated Institute of Electrical Engineers (IIEE) and the Philippine National Red Cross. The project is held every month of February and July and is participated by students and faculty members..
The project is part of the school’s commitment to its social responsibility by extending the school’s services to the community. The latest bloodletting activity was conducted on July 13 and was participated by 33 students and some faculty members.





Excellence in the student’s academic development and school services is the centerpiece of ISAT U 111th Foundation Anniversary on September 4– 10, 2016. The activities of the week long celebration are attuned to the theme: “ISAT U @111: One Vision, One Mission , and One Goal…Excellence!”
The students are also given the opportunity to display their physical, intellectual, cultural and artistic skills through fashion show, academic quiz contest, literary –musical competition, pahampang, Mr. and Ms. ISAT U, skills olympics, the robotics showdown and in the exhibits.
